Jett did not have a name when I first came in contact with him. I was
backing out of my driveway to go to work about 3 years plus ago when I
noticed this beautiful black lab walking down the sidewalk and he stopped to let me back up. I thought he might be someone's beloved pet so I got out of my car to check for a collar. There was evidence that he had been wearing one but no identification on him. In the county that I live in it is against the law for animals to run loose so I put him in my fenced yard with food and water thinking someone would be looking for him. When I got home that day he was still in my yard. I started checking around the neighborhood and make phone calls to the county pound and shelter to see if anyome was looking for him.
After a few days with no response from anyone I took him to my vet to get him checked for a chip and to make sure he was healthy. My vet gave me
the news of no chip and that he was very healthy and probably 4 to 6 years old. I had him vacinated for everything and registered him with the county
for licenses and after about 2 more weeks finally came up with his name
"Jett" and he joined my family of two beautiful female bichon frise and 5
beautiful domestic cats who all love living together.
He is solid black with a little gray under his neck. His coat was very dull when he came to live with me but now it shines like a diamond. He had been taught a few tricks so we have continued with them. We take a walk in the afternoon after work. He comes in the bathroom in the morning when I am getting ready for work for me to rub the sleepy matter out of his eyes. I never wanted a large dog but he is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever had. I pray he lives with me for many many years.
Thanks for letting me share my story of my beautiful "Jett."
