NEUROLOGY |
| Diseases of the Nervous System are treated by a Specialist certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, a subspecialty of Neurology. A Neurologist certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine treats diseases or trauma to the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves. To assist with diagnosing and treating these conditions, The AMC employs the only Board-Certified Neurologist in New York City. Both CT and MRI machines are available on site to assure quick and accurate neurologic diagnosis. In addition, neurosurgery is routinely performed, particularly for spinal conditions that cause back pain, paralysis or lameness. Also, brain surgery is performed and has been successful in removing certain tumors. |
