ONCOLOGY |
| Specialists certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in the subspecialty of Oncology provide seven-day-week care for pets with cancer. Cancer diagnosis and treatment is greatly enhanced by a team approach through collaboration with our Specialists in Medicine, Pathology, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging and Radiation Therapy. |
 |
| |
| In some cases, surgical removal of tumors, either alone or in combination with other treatments, provides cure or control of cancer. Other pets may benefit from Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy and Radiation Therapy which are routinely administered. |
| |
| Our specialists employ strategies to minimize side effects and optimize tumor reduction and remission or cure. Recently, an experimental program that involves vaccination of dogs with melanoma has achieved success. In certain conditions, other experimental therapies may be available. |
