From Queens and Long Island:

Take the Long Island Expressway to the Midtown Tunnel or the 59th Street Bridge.

From The Midtown Tunnel: The Midtown Tunnel emerges onto 34th Street. Turn right onto 34th Street and go to 3rd Avenue. Turn right onto 3rd Avenue, and continue to 62nd Street. Turn right onto 62nd Street and go 3 blocks past York Avenue. The AMC is the last building on the right. Turn right into the parking lot.

From the 59th Street Bridge: Turn right onto 62nd Street (towards FDR Drive). Continue east two blocks. As you pass York Avenue, you will see The AMC on your right. Turn right into the parking lot.

From Brooklyn:

Take the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway North to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel. After emerging from the tunnel, take FDR Drive North. Continue on the FDR to the exit for 61st Street, which is on the left. After taking the exit, follow the traffic to the first light, which is on the corner of 61st Street and York Avenue. Turn right onto York, and then make another right onto 62nd Street. The AMC parking lot will be on your right hand side.

From The Holland Tunnel:

Keep to the left while going through the tunnel and you will emerge on Canal Street. Turn right onto Canal, again staying to the left. At the first light, make a left onto West Broadway. Continue on West Broadway until you reach Houston Street. Make a right onto Houston. Stay on Houston until it ends. This is the entrance to FDR Drive North. Turn left onto The FDR and continue north until the exit for 61st Street, which is on the left. After taking the exit, follow the traffic to the first light, which is on the corner of 61st Street and York Avenue. Turn right onto York, and then make another right onto 62nd Street. The AMC parking lot will be on your right hand side.

From The Lincoln Tunnel:

After exiting the tunnel, follow signs for 42nd Street. Turn right onto 42nd Street, then turn left onto any avenue heading uptown. Continue heading north (streets will be increasing in numerical order) until you reach 57th Street. Turn right onto 57th Street, and continue east until you reach York Avenue. Turn left onto York and continue for five blocks to 62nd Street. Turn right on 62nd Street. The AMC parking lot will be on your right hand side.

From The George Washington Bridge:

After crossing the bridge, follow signs for Harlem River Drive/FDR Drive South. Continue on The FDR until you reach the 63rd Street exit. Turn left at the first traffic light onto York Avenue. Follow York Avenue for one block and then turn left onto 62nd Street. The AMC parking lot will be on your right hand side.

From The Bronx:

Take the Bronx River Parkway South to the Third Avenue Bridge. Go south on Second Avenue to 62nd Street. Turn left onto 62nd Street and continue to the end. The AMC is the last building on your right and The AMC parking lot will be on your right hand side.

Alternate route from The Bronx: Take the Triboro Bridge and follow the signs to Manhattan. Keep to the left and enter the ramp for the FDR Drive South. Take the 63rd Street exit off of The FDR. Turn left at the first traffic light onto York Avenue. Follow York Avenue for one block and then turn left onto 62nd Street. The AMC parking lot will be on your right hand side.

From Connecticut:

From Interstate 95: Follow the signs to the Triboro Bridge. At approach to bridge, follow the signs to Manhattan. Keep to the left and enter the ramp for the FDR Drive South. Take the 63rd Street exit off of The FDR. Turn left at the first traffic light onto York Avenue. Follow York Avenue for one block and then turn left onto 62nd Street. The AMC parking lot will be on your right hand side.

From The Merritt Parkway or Interstate 684: Take The Hutchinson Parkway to The Cross County Parkway West to The New York Thruway South (the Thruway becomes I-87 and The Major Deegan Expressway). Follow the signs to The Triboro Bridge and proceed as above.

Public Transportation:

The Animal Medical Center is easily accessible by subway and is a short walk from the 59th Street Station at Bloomingdale's, where the N, R, W, 4, 5 and 6 lines all connect, or the 63rd Street station on the F line. Nearby bus lines include the M98, M101, M102, M103, M31, M57, M98, Q32, Q60 and Q101. For more information, log on to mta.info.
