FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
“IT’S REIGNING CATS AND DOGS!,” COLLECTION OF PET CARTOONS SELECTED FROM PAGES OF THE NEW YORKER, TO BENEFIT THE ANIMAL MEDICAL CENTER
New Book Features Foreward by Oscar de la Renta
The perfect holiday gift for animal lovers – one that will benefit The Animal Medical Center of New York – has just been published by The Cartoon Bank.
It’s Reigning Cats and Dogs! – a collection of hilarious animal cartoons from the pages of The New Yorker magazine, with a foreward written by fashion designer Oscar de la Renta – is now available for $50. The book may be ordered by calling 212-329-8661.
The collection is the brainchild of AMC Junior Committee members Kristin Fisher, Ashley Phipps, and Daisy Phipps, who sought to do something out of the ordinary on behalf of New York’s largest facility for animal care, education and research. “We didn’t want to throw a party,” said the three recently. “We’d rather stay at home with our dogs!”
The team selected 86 dog-and-cat cartoons from many hundreds that have appeared during The New Yorker’s notable history.
Printed in the U.S.A., the handsome edition – featuring a glossy book jacket with The Animal Medical Center’s new logo prominently featured – is limited to a first printing of 1,000 copies.
