Course Objective Statements
Neurology
This conference is intended to provide 1.5 hours of clinically relevant review and update that emphasizes the neurologic history, examination, and neurolocalization. Review of relevant images are explained from CT and MRI to update attendees about advanced diagnostic imaging opportunities. Attendees are encouraged to bring in stable pets with neurologic disease to promote interactive learning and illustrate important clinical aspects of acquired and congenital neurologic disorders. Case material is supplemented with important topics in veterinary neurology including medical and surgical management options.
Radiology
This conference is intended to provide 1.5 hours of continuing education. It utilizes radiographs from private and specialty practice as the basis to discuss radiographic technique and positioning; normal anatomy; diseases of the chest, thorax, appendicular skeleton; and related acquired and congenital conditions. In depth discussion will use teaching techniques to emphasize radiographic interpretation in dogs and cats. Where relevant, indications and interpretation of advanced diagnostic modalities including CT and MRI imaging are reviewed.
