Summary
This presentation, the third in a series of spring lectures that focus on important issues facing today’s veterinarians, will help you sift through the hyperbole of nutritional claims and understand the true efficacy of pet food products. In her informative presentation, Dr. Cline will unravel the mystery of ingredients and discuss their contribution to the overall health of pets.
About the Speaker

Dr. Jill Cline has been a Research Nutritionist at Nestle Purina for seven years. In her current position, Dr. Cline is responsible for communicating new scientific findings in dogs and cat nutrition. In addition, Dr. Cline conducts and coordinates external research on the human animal bond and its influence on nutrition decisions as well nutrition and exercise physiology. She has lectured extensively in the US, Latin America and Europe to breeders, sporting dog enthusiasts and veterinarians about canine and feline nutrition and husbandry.
During her tenure at Nestle Purina, Dr. Cline has developed and validated several non-invasive scientific methodologies for skin and coat evaluation. Dr. Cline has also developed a method for quantifying and qualifying gut volatiles.
Dr. Cline received her PhD from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Canine Nutrition. She belongs to a select group of scientists who completed non-invasive research theses with dogs.
