Dr. Django Martel of the Animal Medical Center in New York City

Dr. Django Martel is one of two Diplomates of the American Veterinary Dental College currently located in the greater New York City area. Dr. Martel obtained his undergraduate degree from the City University of New York at Hunter College in New York City in 1999 and his degree in veterinary medicine from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in Ithaca, NY in 2003. He worked as a general practitioner in veterinary clinics in downtown Manhattan until 2008, followed by one year in a Chicago area general practice, and then moved back to New York to complete a 6-year veterinary dentistry and oral surgery residency at the Animal Medical Center. Dr. Martel is originally from New York City. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife Shalini, a local physician, and their son Shaan, and many saltwater fish and coral.
