About the Role

  • Responsible for building inspections to include HVAC system, steam system, plumbing, electrical, pnuematic system, medical gas system, and medical vacuum system.
  • Daily inspection of medical gases on each floor and ability to replace medical gas tank when empty
  • Must be able to use hand tools and some power tools
  • Able to repair basic plumbing, electrical, plaster, painting, replace air filters for HVAC system
  • Must be willing and open to be trained on building specific HVAC system (chiller plant for summer, steam generator for winter)
  • Training to operate fire alarm system

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be flexible for night and weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of basic building equipment: plumbing, electrical, painting and repair
  • Willing to work and learn
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to get FDNY certificate of Fitness G71 after hire to maintain the medical gas system and certificate of fire safety

Salary

$18.05 – $23.65 per hour
