  • Must have NYS Veterinary Technician’s license or permit
  • Have the ability to provide quality nursing care and technical services
  • Proven ability to maintain effective, respectful working relationships and customer satisfaction with all, including other AMC departments, support staff, clients, and referring veterinarians
  • Able to work successfully as part of a team
  • Must have ability to remain composed in stressful and emergency situations
  • Flexible about working additional hours when necessary
  • Must have ability to communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external customers at all levels


  • Assist during medical and surgical procedures
  • Provide anesthesia support for the Community Practice
  • Monitor and maintain good patient flow through the clinic
  • Prepare clinical and medical records, business office paperwork, charge sheets and request forms
  • Prepare patients for and assist with exams and procedures (prepare exam/treatment/procedure rooms, handle/monitor patients; provide anesthesia/sedation as directed, operate monitor equipment
  • Schedule procedures and maintain inventory
  • Attend rounds as directed, providing patient information to appropriate staff
  • Schedule/manage/perform “tech-only” visits as directed by veterinarian
  • All other related projects and duties as assigned


  • Monday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 8:30am – 6:00pm
