4th Annual Celebration of Life: Pet Memorial Event
The Animal Medical Center hosted its 4th Annual Celebration of Life on Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 to remember the pets we’ve lost and the lives we shared together. Participants gathered in fellowship to honor beloved animal companions, to heal, and to hear words of comfort from AMC’s Veterinary Social Worker Judith Harbour and other invited AMC staff members. The event concluded with a Candle Lighting Ceremony and Pet Memorial Slideshow.

Veterinary Social Worker
Judith Harbour leads AMC’s Pet Loss Support Program. She holds virtual meetings every other Thursday from 6:15pm-8:15pm. These meetings are free and open to the public.
Maria McKenna, LVT
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Maria McKenna is a Licensed Veterinary Technician at the Animal Medical Center. She has worked in the Medical and Radiation Oncology services for over 10 years and is currently completing her MS in Anthrozoology, the study of the human-animal relationship. As a staunch advocate for providing quality end-of-life care, her primary focus is veterinary hospice. She resides in Hoboken, New Jersey sharing her home with two dogs, one cat, and a human.
