Minimally Invasive Surgery in Pets

While traditional open surgery has its place in veterinary medicine, advances are being made every day in minimally invasive surgical techniques for dogs and cats. These modern approaches typically involve smaller incisions, which can mean less pain, reduced anesthesia time, shorter hospital stays, and a more comfortable recovery for pets. In this webinar held on June 25, 2025, Dr. Daniel Spector, Service Head of Surgical Service 2 at AMC, explores the use of minimally invasive surgery in veterinary practice. He discusses the range of procedures where these techniques are applied and explains how they can improve outcomes and prognoses for pets.
