Following this lecture, you will understand which of the following conditions you can treat in your practice and which should be referred to a veterinary ophthalmologist:
- Corneal ulcers (various types and severity)
- Pigmentation on the iris of a cat: when to monitor yourself or enucleate or refer for evaluation
- Diagnosis and treatment of cataracts: when to refer for possible surgery and what makes a pet a good candidate for surgery. What you can do prior to possible surgery.
- Retinal detachment: diagnosis and when referral for retinal surgery is indicated
