Dr. Aparna Arun grew up in India where she completed her undergraduate degree in chemistry, botany, and zoology. She obtained her graduate degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Melbourne, Australia, where she had the opportunity to treat koalas, kangaroos, and snakes, before returning to her hometown of Bangalore to volunteer at CUPA, a not-for-profit animal shelter and clinic. She then moved to New York City where she worked as a general practitioner and house call veterinarian in Queens and Manhattan before pursuing general and surgery specialty internships with BluePearl Veterinary Partners. Dr. Arun has joined the Animal Medical Center as a Resident Veterinarian in Surgery, where she is excited to provide cutting edge care to her patients.
