Dr. Betsy Bond of the Animal Medical Center in New York City

Dr. Betsy Bond was one of the first female Board Certified Veterinary Cardiologists and has been practicing in New York at the Animal Medical Center since her internship in 1975.  She did her undergraduate studies at Texas Tech University and earned her DVM from Texas A&M University in 1975. Coming to New York City as an intern from Texas, she quipped, “I can take anything for a year.”  Having completed both an internship and residency at the Animal Medical Center followed by a permanent staff position, she has been a happy resident of New York now for 40 years. Her only hiatus from New York was a brief stint as an assistant professor at Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine 1979-1981.

Dr. Bond lives in Queens with her two cats Marley and Sassy. She loves reading and traveling.
