Dr. Chanel Berns is a Texas native and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M in 2019. Throughout her academic journey she was focused on surgery, which led her to complete a rotating internship at the University of Georgia in 2020. After internship, she returned to Texas A&M where she simultaneously completed a master’s degree and surgery residency. Dr. Berns enjoys minimally-invasive surgery, including arthroscopy and laparoscopy. She performs both orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries and is excited to be joining AMC.

Outside of work, Dr. Berns enjoys spending time with her dog (Sloan) and exploring all that NYC has to offer!
