Dr. Dan Carmichael graduated from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine located in his home town of Ithaca, NY. After completing a six-year residency in veterinary dentistry, Dr. Carmichael received his Board Certification in The American Veterinary Dental College. Dr. Carmichael has been a part of the Dentistry Service at the Animal Medical Center since 1996.

Dr. Carmichael has published numerous scientific papers, lectured extensively, and mentored residents on the subject of Veterinary Dentistry. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Carmichael periodically volunteers his services at the Bronx Zoo where he has worked on many amazing patients.

Dr. Carmichael lives in Babylon, NY with his wife Peggy and son Tommy and enjoys surfing, fly-fishing, and playing ice hockey in his spare time.
