Dr. Lauren Wilmarth of the Animal Medical Center in New York City

Dr. Lauren Wilmarth grew up in Andover, Massachusetts with her parents, twin sister, and younger brother. She went to the University of Connecticut for undergraduate school, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in just 3 years. She was also a member of both the Honors Program and the Division I Women’s Tennis Team, which allowed her to enjoy traveling throughout the country to compete. Following her undergraduate career she obtained a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 2016 and then completed a 1 year rotating internship with a focus in neurology from the Animal Medical Center. She decided to continue her education by immediately entering into a residency program in neurology and neurosurgery at the Animal Medical Center, where she is currently completing her last year of residency. Dr. Wilmarth enjoys all aspects of veterinary neurology and is excited to take her skills to New England upon completion of her residency.

When Dr. Wilmarth is not at the hospital she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, in addition to her fiancé, who is currently a resident in equine surgery in Florida. She also enjoys spending time with her cat, walking her dog throughout Manhattan, and exploring different coffee shops throughout New York City.
