Dr. Anne Kurosawa, a New York City native, is a board-certified veterinary cardiologist dedicated to advancing cardiac care for companion animals. She earned her veterinary degree from Purdue University in 2011 and went on to complete a rotating internship at Louisiana State University. She then completed her cardiology residency at the Royal Veterinary College obtaining her diplomate status in 2017. Anne is a Diplomate of the American College of Internal Medicine (Cardiology).
After several years working in both university and private practice settings in the United Kingdom—including roles at the Royal Veterinary College and DWR Veterinary Specialists—Dr. Kurosawa returned to NYC to join the cardiology service at The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center.
Dr. Kurosawa is interested in the application of advanced cardiac imaging including 4D echocardiography and CT angiography to improve diagnostic accuracy and disease characterization. She is also interested in improving our understanding of feline cardiomyopathy and mitral valve disease in dogs.
