Chloe

Chloe was the sweetest, funniest French Bulldog. She had many nicknames, including Monkey, Bear, Sweet Pea, Munchkin and Gremlin. She was born in Elk Grove, California and we got her when she was only eight weeks old. She was one of seven puppies and we were immediately drawn to her confident playfulness and the unique white triangle marking on the back of her neck, which someone once commented was where she must “keep her superpowers.” As a puppy and throughout her life, Chloe brought out the best in dogs and people alike. She never hesitated to go up to the reluctant dog at the dog park, and would keep at them until they finally gave in and chased or wrestled her. This persistence and acceptance of all walks of life is one of the many things we loved about her. It didn’t take long to fall in love with Chloe. Her love for the simple things in life reminded everyone around her what was important: lots of food, laying in the sun and sleeping in cuddled up next to the one you love. Chloe was taken from the world far too soon. Shortly after turning five she was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor by Dr. Chad West. After getting this devastating news, we drove Chloe across country, to spend what would be her last weeks in the Bay Area, where she had always been happiest. Dr. West supported us in our decision and stayed in regular contact until Chloe’s final day with us. While we are heartbroken, we are also thankful to Dr. West and AMC for the support they provided during one of the most difficult times of our lives. We miss Chloe every day but realize we were lucky to have had such a special companion, who touched so many lives in her short time here. We love you forever, sweet girl.
