Dr. Marissa Monopoli grew up outside of San Francisco. She received her undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University, and returned to California to complete her veterinary school education at the University of California, Davis. While in Davis, she developed a passion for disaster medicine and was an active member of the veterinary emergency response team that deployed to the California wildfires, providing care to avian and small animal patients alike. She is extremely excited to be completing her internship at the Animal Medical Center and further her knowledge in both small and exotic animal medicine. Dr. Monopoli has particular interest in radiology and neurology, though she finds joy in the diversity of cases seen in an emergency and general practice setting. In her spare time, Dr. Monopoli enjoys spending time with her eyeless cat Stevie, rollerskating, going to concerts, and exploring New York City.
