Our mission is to provide high-quality undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate educational opportunities in clinical veterinary medicine.
Our programs include an Externship Program for veterinary students, a one-year Internship Program for Veterinary School graduates and a Residency Program for graduates interested in specialty board certification.
The Animal Medical Center is the largest postgraduate veterinary teaching institution in the world, employing over 80 veterinarians and approximately 350 support staff. The annual caseload exceeds 50,000 visits. The AMC offers the following residencies:

The AMC is nestled within Manhattan's extensive biomedical community located on the Upper East Side. Residents profit through participation and attendance at conferences, rounds and seminars. Residents also receive the benefit of established research collaboration with several prominent institutions within easy walking distance, such as New York Hospital/Cornell University Medical College, Rockefeller University, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
