Honor Your Pet
Owner: Erica B.
Jill was diagnosed with Bone Cancer (Osteosarcoma) in her toe in June 2012. At that time, her toe was amputated and we met with the wonderful Dr. Hohenhaus and Dr. Tegtmeyer. We discussed many options as Jill’s cancer was a bit rare and both Dr. Hohenhaus and Dr. Tegtmeyer were so great, so caring and so knowledgeable.
Unfortunately in December of 2012, Jill’s cancer had spread to another part of her leg and it was determined that her leg would have to be amputated followed by four rounds of IV chemotherapy. Having to make these decisions and see your pet go through these things is one of the hardest things in the world. However, what made it that much easier for me was the tremendous care and support I had from the doctors at AMC. I never once felt that Dr. Hohenhaus and Dr. Tegtmeyer had anything but Jill’s best interests in mind and felt that they treated her as if she were their own. Today Jill is 14 months post amputation and CANCER FREE. She is a happy, loving and healthy girl. I am confident that I owe this entirely to the care she received at the Animal Medical Center. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
