Residency in Emergency & Critical Care

Program Description

The Emergency/Critical Care (ECC) Residency Program at The Animal Medical Center (AMC) is designed to assist candidates wishing to become board certified by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC). The residency is an intense 3-year clinical training program. Over the past 10 years, the majority of individuals completing the program have become diplomates in the ACVECC.

The ECC Residency is supported by AMC’s board-certified specialists in Emergency and Critical Care. Additionally, ECC staff collaborate with AMC’s veterinarians boarded in Cardiology, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Pathology, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, and Dentistry. The close interaction among these various services creates an atmosphere of dynamic clinical training and experience.
